"Six Apparitions, Six Pilgrimages"
North way, Coimbra-Fátima, June 2017

Post 1 - Day 1
Six Apparitions, Six Pilgrimages
After the Lisbon-Fatima pilgrimage for the unforgettable celebrations of the centenary of the appearance of May, the second stage of the project, this time "just" as a pilgrim, begins today with the purpose of traveling the 98 Km of the North Way, that connect the Old Cathedral of Coimbra to the Sanctuary of Fatima, to participate in the celebrations of the centenary of the apparition of June 13, 1917.

To guide me on the way, I chose some Saints, dedicating the prayers of the day, especially to family and friends who share the same name.

The first day is dedicated to St. Teresa.

Let friends and family devote a prayer for someone they know by that name.

Santa Teresa was considered very intelligent, left several written works, such as the Book of Life, The Path of Perfection, among others.
Pope Paul VI, who conferred on her the title of Doctor of the Church, canonized her in 1970.
Prayer:
"Nothing disturbs you, nothing makes you afraid, everything passes, patience reaches everything.
To him who has God, there is nothing lacking. God alone is sufficient. "

Post 2 - Day 2
Six Apparitions, Six Pilgrimages

North way, Coimbra-Fátima, Day 2
After 17Km yesterday, today a little more. 30Km to connect Conímbriga to Ansião, with passage through the gorgeous valley of Conimbriga, Rabaçal and Alvorge.
The second day is dedicated to Saint Anne, with the prayers of the day especially dedicated to family and friends who share the same name.
The more prayers, highest arrive!

Santa Ana is the mother of Our Lady and grandmother of Jesus.
The name Ana comes from the Hebrew Hanna and means "grace."
According to Christian tradition, on September 8, 20 BC, St. Anne gave birth to a beautiful girl named Miriam, who in Hebrew means "Lady of Light." In the translation into Latin was Mary.
From Santa Ana, of Real ancestry, and which everyone said sterile, was born Our Lady, the mother of Jesus.

Post 3 - Day 3
Six Apparitions, Six Pilgrimages
North way, Coimbra-Fátima, day 3

Stage of connection between Ansião and Caxarias. 30 km with a lot of heat, but a lot of beauty, for a long time accompanying the dry bed of the river Nabão.
The third day is dedicated to St. Emilia, with the prayers of the day especially dedicated to family and friends of the same name.
We are all few when we want someone well.

The life of St. Emilia is a wonderful testimony of the Christian family.
The family she founded with her husband St. Basil was one of the most influential families in Christianity at all times.
His sons were all evangelizing missionaries, four of whom were Bishops, who enlightened the life of the church with its teachings.

Post 4 - Day 4
Six Apparitions, Six Pilgrimages
North Way, Coimbra-Fatima, day 4

Fourth and last day of pilgrimage, through the fields!
22 km to connect Caxarias to the Sanctuary.
It will be the first time I arrive at the Sanctuary after the canonization of the little shepherds.
Thus, the fourth day is dedicated to St. Jacinta and St. Francisco, with the prayers of the day especially dedicated to family and friends of the same name. May our prayers be united.

Santa Jacinta and San Francisco
The "seers of Fatima" to whom Our Lady appeared six times in 1917, now 100 years ago, were privileged witnesses of the Apparitions, in a small place called Cova de Iria, near Fatima.
They were, with Lúcia the chosen ones to receive the Message in which the "Lady more brilliant than the Sun" requested prayers.
Born both in Aljustrel, both of them die, still children shortly after the Apparitions, just as Our Lady had told them: " Jacinta and Francisco I'm going to take them soon, but you (Lucia) will stay some more time "- June 13, 1917.
Short but sufficient lives for the Catholic Church to recognize, for the first time in 2000 years of history, the "heroic virtues and maturity of faith of non-martyr children."
Sanctified only a month ago!

Post 5 - After the Arrival
June 17, Coimbra-Fátima

Second, of the six pilgrimages of the project this year, this time for the celebrations of the Centenary of the Apparition of June.
Pilgrimage dedicated to St. Teresa, St. Ana, St. Emilia, St. Jacinta and St. Francisco, Who guided me with the affection of always.
The prayers of the days were dedicated to family and friends of the same name.
Repeated prayers in the Altar of the World, with many other names added.

Peaceful pilgrimage, with the help of so many who gave me so much strength.
Thank you all.

I will pray a lot to Santa Ângela (my wife, eheh) and in July I will make the third pilgrimage, Nazaré-Fatima for the demanding but beautiful Sunset Way
